Set up your first coached call
Start with a short practice conversation so you can check audio and coaching before using Sussur on a client call.
1. Install the Mac app
Download Sussur, open the DMG, and drag the app to Applications. The current download is for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. Check the system requirements if you are unsure.
2. Sign in with your email
Enter your email in the app and use the six-digit code sent to your inbox. Coaching uses the managed AI access included with your account. You do not need to obtain a separate API key.

3. Allow audio access
Follow the app's requests for microphone and screen recording permissions. The microphone captures your voice; macOS screen recording permission allows capture of the meeting app's system audio.
The names shown in System Settings vary by macOS version. Use the permissions guide if audio is missing.
4. Try a short conversation
Complete the onboarding steps, choose the microphone you want to use, and start a session. Check that the transcript includes your speech. With a meeting app open, check that the other speaker is captured too.
Coaching appears in call mode as the conversation develops. Treat suggestions as options, and end the session when your practice is finished.
5. Review before the real call
Check the transcript and report for anything unexpected. If no coaching appears, use the troubleshooting guide. Connecting Google Calendar is optional; you can find that setup in the calendar guide.
