Using Sussur
Live rapport score
A real-time read on how the relationship is going, computed on your Mac with no extra cost.
Updated 2026-06-10 · Verified against v0.10.25
The rapport gauge gives you a live, 0–100 sense of how the conversation is landing — so you can course-correct before a call goes sideways.

What it measures
The score updates every 30 seconds from six linguistic signals, all computed locally:
- Turn balance — are you both talking, or is one side dominating?
- Response latency — how quickly each side replies.
- Backchannel frequency — the "mm-hm"s and "right"s that show engagement.
- Question reciprocity — are questions flowing both ways?
- Lexical convergence — are you starting to use each other's words?
- Agreement signals — explicit alignment in the language.
On-device, no AI cost
Rapport scoring is pure text analysis on your Mac. It makes no AI call, so it adds nothing to your cost. If the score drops sharply, Sussur can flag the inflection so you notice in the moment.
Tip
A score sitting at 50 usually just means there isn't enough conversation yet — it moves once you're both talking.
